"I keep getting alerts saying the..."
I keep getting alerts saying the surf is firing, so I’ll drop what I’m doing and drive down, only to find it flat, blown out, or just totally not worth it. It happens often enough that I don’t really trust the notifications anymore. The most frustrating part is it’s not even clear who’s responsible for the bad calls — the app, the forecast source, the local cams, or what. Everyone seems to point somewhere else, but the alert is still wrong.
"Cams seem to be down a lot"
I mostly pay for this so I can check the cams before heading out, but a lot of the time the one I actually need is either offline or frozen. Maybe I just have bad timing, or I’m usually checking when I’m already in a rush, but it gets frustrating when I’m trying to decide if it’s worth making the drive

"Helpful, but could be quicker with updates"
I use Surfline.com often, it’s a solid tool for checking conditions before heading out. But are the forecasts always as fresh as I’d like? Not really. Some days the ocean changes faster than the app seems to catch up, which can be a little frustrating. It’s still useful for planning, for sure, but wouldn’t it be better if the updates came through more often or felt a bit more on time?
"forecast missed again"
the forecast was way off again. ended up wasting my whole morning because i planned around it.

"App Is Getting Frustrating to Use"
I’ve been trying to use the app just to quickly check the wave forecast, but it’s become really annoying. The forecast pages take way too long to load, the buttons aren’t easy to find, and it feels like the app keeps sending me all over the place instead of just showing what I need. At this point, it’s more of a hassle than a help, and I really hope this gets looked into because I don’t want to fight with an app just to check the waves.

"Good surf reports, but billing could be clearer"
The surf reports have been really helpful and reliable, which I appreciate. I just wish the billing details were easier to find. I had to click around a bit to understand what I was being charged for, and I would’ve felt better with a clearer breakdown upfront. It’s a solid service, but a little more transparency would be reassuring...

"I mostly trust it and use…"
I mostly trust it and use it for this and that, but every now and then it’s a bit off. Not a huge deal, just something I’ve noticed.

"Decent idea, but it really should be more reliable"
I mostly use Surfline to check the wind and tides before I make the drive to the beach, but lately it’s been hit or miss. The app will show the wind going one way, then I get there and it’s doing something totally different. Tide times are usually close enough, but the actual height doesn’t always line up with what’s happening in the water. The forecast videos are nice, but the basic data is what people are paying for. If you’re charging this much, it feels only fair to make sure the essentials are accurate. For the price, I expected better

"Keeps freezing up"
The cams keep buffering and freezing on me, even though my wifi is totally fine. It gets annoying trying to use it when it keeps doing that.
"Way Too Many Ads and Verification Hassles"
Surfline.com used to be my quick go-to for checking the waves, but lately it feels like more of a chore than anything. There are pop-ups, video ads, banners everywhere, and on mobile it’s especially annoying. On top of that, I keep getting hit with verification stuff over and over, like just let me check the surf already. I get that they need to run ads, but it’s gotten ridiculous
"Useful, but kind of frustrating to use"
I keep using Surfline because the surf info and cams are genuinely helpful, so it’s not like I’m just complaining for no reason. But the site feels slow and cluttered, especially on my phone. I just want to check a cam quickly, and it seems like I have to tap around way more than I should. It’s useful enough that I haven’t stopped using it, but the experience could definitely be smoother.

"Canceling Was Way More Annoying Than It Needed to Be"
I signed up just to check the forecast for a trip, then forgot about it after that. When I finally went to cancel, the whole process felt unnecessarily confusing, like they make you click through way too many screens for no reason. What annoyed me most was that it wasn’t even clear if the cancellation actually worked, so I kept checking my account and email to make sure I wasn’t still being charged. The app might be fine for forecasts, but the unclear communication during cancellation really put me off. I wouldn’t use it again

"Forecast Looked Great, But the Waves Didn’t Show"
I saw the forecast saying it was going to be pumping, so I just assumed it would be worth the trip like it usually is when the numbers line up. Got there expecting a solid session, but it was pretty much flat. Kind of a letdown after getting my hopes up

"Not Really Worth It"
I was hoping this would be more helpful, but it just wasn’t that useful. Maybe it works better for other people, but for me it felt a bit disappointing. I appreciate the effort, but I can’t say I’d recommend it.

"Decent for Major Beaches, But Lacking Locally"
Surfline works fine if you’re checking one of the bigger, well-known beaches, and I get that those spots probably get the most attention. But to be fair, the coverage around my area is limited. A few local breaks are either missing completely or don’t seem to get updated much. For what it costs, I’d expect the info to be a bit more useful across more spots, not just the popular ones.

"Local Surf Forecast Is Pretty Much Always Wrong"
The surf report for my area is wrong almost every time. I’ll check it before heading out, and then the actual conditions are totally different. It’s really frustrating when you’re trying to plan a session

"Useful, but the login issues are annoying"
Surfline is great when it’s actually working, but something about it has been really frustrating lately. My account keeps logging me out, and then sometimes it won’t even let me back in. I tried resetting my password and still ended up stuck. Support eventually responded, but it was slow and I had to explain the same issue more than once. Not ideal when I’m just trying to quickly check the forecast.

"Not much to see unless you pay"
I couldn’t really check out much without hitting the paywall. It’s a bit frustrating when you’re just trying to get a feel for it first, you know?

"I do like the app overall…"
I do like the app overall, it works well and does what I need it to do. That said, it’s been feeling expensive lately, which is a little frustrating, honestly. I get that things cost money to maintain and all, but whew, the price keeps creeping up.

"Not really helpful"
There just wasn’t much useful stuff here. I kept having to go over the same points again and again, which got frustrating after a while. I was hoping for something more helpful, but it didn’t really deliver.
